I've started the painting process with Autumn Breeze, deciding to give her nice fall colors.  I first start giving her some color to her body, using oil paints I give her some realistic skin tones.

Then it's time for the eyes.  Starting with her left eye, I decide which way I think she's to be looking.  Using a dark version of whatever eye color I want, I paint an iris.  Then (do my VERY best) to paint an iris on the other eye... trying to make sure it's about even with the other.

I then mix that dark color with a lot of white, to make a lighter shade.  Leaving a rim of dark around the edges, I shade the lighter color around in the center of the eye.  And lastly, touch in her pupil at the end.

I then add some specks of white through out the eye, to give the appearance of touches of light and reflection. At the very end, I use a touch of red around the edges of the eyeball.  Here I've then added her eyebrows, a light shade for shadow, and I've added some eyelashes...

Here her painting is now just about complete.  She'll probably still get some little touches here and there throughout the rest of her creation, but for the most part, her painting is complete.
